FUNZONE 500 FAQs

  1. How old do you have to be to ride the go-karts?
  1. There is a kiddie track for children age 3 to 6.  Children age 7 to 12 can ride in rookie cars on the big track   Rookie cars are single cars much like the adult cars, but the pedals and steering wheel is more maneuverable for younger drivers.
  1. What kind of karts do you have?
  1. We have kiddie cars for children age 3 to 6, rookie cars for children age 7 to 12 and single cars for 13 and older.  We also have double carts where two people can ride together.  You must be 16 years of age or older to drive a double kart.

  1. Each ride is 5 minutes long.

  1. How do you run the go-karts?
  1. Because karts are set at different speeds, rookie and double karts are run at the same time while single karts are run separately.
  1. How fast do the karts go?
  1. Rookie and double karts run approximately 12 mph and single karts run approximately 20 mph.
  1. Can we bump into each other?
  1. Obviously due to the nature of the course, there will be some bumping.  However, these are go-karts, not bumper cars.  Intentionally running into someone, cutting someone off, or reckless driving is grounds to be removed from the course.
  1. What happens if I damage a car, wreck a car or hurt another individual?
  1. A.  Riders ride at their own risk and are responsible for any damage occurred while they are on FUNZONE property.
  1. Can we rent the track?
  1. We have special rates to rent the track for private parties.  Please see the party options section.
  1. Why do I have to pull my hair up?
  1. Long hair and moving parts do not mix.  For safety reasons, anyone who has shoulder-length hair or longer will be asked to pull their hair up for the duration of the ride.  Safety and fun are our number one concern.
